Susanne gave me the year 2000 to blog about and in most ways it is a year I would rather forget about.
It starts pretty uneventfully with us still living with my parents and finally beginning to work on our house again after it being shut down by the building department due to a complaint from a pain in the ass neighbor who would of rather had the falling down mess ridden with termites that had been there.
In March G's brother was married and my brother had his fourth child and 3rd boy Daniel Anthony whose name was originally Stephen Daniel til his second day of life. My parents were in Italy when he was born and it was quite amusing to try and get them at the hotel they were known as the gelato couple.
I also quite my job at the nursing home in March because of the psycho administratror and me not wanting to stay late the day after my newphew was born because I needed to help out. I didn't know it at the time but everything happens for a reason.
In May my nephew Michael made his first communion and a week later my nephew Anthony fell in the pool and was a near drowing victim. G was wthe first family member at the hospital and he was a huge help at Elmhurst. I am a lucky person to have this man in my life. I began taking care of my nephew Daniel who was 6 weeks old. It was great practice at being a practice Mom.
In June 2000 we moved the office to our present location and I was still watching Daniel. Spring went to Summer and we were still living with my Mom and Dad, me helping my brother out with his Kids. and G working at the 110. Oh and my mom and I went to Arkansas to visit the family.
Construction on our house was stopped again because of Anthony's accident until August or September. In November I had to stop watching Daniel because he called me Mommy and I thought that it was best for them if they took over watching him and bonding. Anthony was at Saint Mary's by this point and I started taking him for hyperbaric treatments everyday. This was hard to do but I am glad I did it.
We also made the decision to have my MIL and BIL come live with us since they could not afford their rent and were having problems. (Remember no good deed goes unpunished).
In December we finally moved into our own home again after living with my parents for 22 months. Not something I recommend for a young couple.
I am going to end this in February of 2001. I found out I was pregnant on the same day my grandpa died at 90 years old. So 2000 was not a banner year and for the most part i don't dwell on it but this was a good exercise thanks Susanne.
