My Next Thirty Years

still a bit stressed BUT....

I am taking it in stride. It has again been a crazy couple of days. Dad had surgery last Friday for a hernia a minor surgery. If you know my dad you know he is a giant baby. On Saturday my mom calls and asks if G can take them to the ER. Of course G my knight in shining armor takes them and doesn't get home until after midnight. Dad was admitted. Turns out the major source of pain was from gas but he did have an infection. He is finally home from the hospital as of this afternoon.

I am still doing a crazy amount of running around though I did squeeze in a shopping trip to Victoria's Secret. The charms were finished, mailed off and received. I have some happy mail to create but of course I am behind due to all the sickness.

My box hasn't been shipped that is on the schedule for tomorrow. Today I came home to a super yummy box from KI Memories and it is available over at HOP I so want to play with it. Not sure when but soon.

I am getting really sick and tired of the constant work out schedule. I really want to throw in the towel. Just the whole thing is grating on my nerves.

I did get to scrap recently and this is what I did. This is James a year ago at 4 months.

Feeling really and truly STRESSED

I have so much to do tomorrow it is scary. 

First and foremost I have to hit the liquor store and buy wines around the world for a gift basket from C's class for the schools international night fundraiser. 

I then have to organize this into a gift basket or bucket so G can take it over for me.

We go away in 2 weeks and nothing is started.

I have to finish some charms and overnight them since they are late.

I of course need to go to work and keep things in check there.

I have to take C to Karate and go to the gym myself.

I have orders to pack and ship out.

I would really really like to scrap something.

Plus all the other every day things that must get done.

My dad is having surgery tomorrow to have a hernia repaired finally. So hopefully he will be a nicer person soon.

Things have been so chaotic for the past week with sick kids and James' ER trip that I just need some down time but I don't see that happening especially since there is stuff going on the next 2 weekends too. Like I told G today I guess I will sleep when I am dead not a great thing to say but the truth.

If you email me and I don't get back to you I am just running like a chicken with out a head.

Totally Insane.

That is what my life is right now. Last Wednesday the stomach flu from Hell arrived in our house. It started with C two days of pure misery. She was lethargic, achy cold whiney you name it. She bounced back to her normal life on Friday and all was right in the world until about 4pm when it struck James. James was miserable and it was disgusting. He never recovered for it. I called the doctor on Monday and of course he was out until next Monday. Took him to the urgent care center and they recommended the ER. We dropped C off at the grandparents and off we went to North Shore - Manhasset. 7 hours, zofran and an IV later we went home. Today he seems more like himself. Just a bit sleepy but he is keeping food down.

In the midst of this I felt it coming on but was able to fight it off. G was a rock and so glad to have him by my side in this life.

Seems like the NYPD is going to be messing with our lives and Gs tour again so that won't be fun. It means a totally new routine and working things in but we will manage. hopefully it won't be too painful for any of us.

No creativity has been going on but hopefully soon.

I came across this quote from the late Natasha Richardson, the sadness of this needs no repeating. This is from after Liam Neeson had his near fatal  Motorcycle accident. I know her death is tragic but she truly celebrated in her life and realized what was important. Life, Love and Family and she should be celebrated for that.

Having been touched by death early on in life and knowing that there are no guarantees in life I am going to embrace this sentiment. I want to wake up every morning and live my life as it needs to be led and celebrate my family and the love I have in my life.

Hello Sunday!!

Life is crazy. There is so much going on. We have been totally nuts here with Cs activities. The TV that stopped working after we invested in a $300 lamp and it would of cost $900 to fix and we would of been with out it for a month. Yeah we went out and bought a new one.

We have 4 weeks until we go to Disney so I really really really need to make sure J and I have clothes to wear. 

I have a charm swap to finish (well to start but once I make up my mind what to do it won't be too hard) I think it is about 50 charms.

I have some more Library of Memories stuff to do since I am taking that class at Big Picture Scrapbooking. I am about 2 weeks behind but you all know when you get busy your stuff is the first put on hold. 

This whole time change has really and truly screwed me up this year. I never remember it being this bad before I just can't get moving. Hopefully it will get a bit better soon. And will some one inform Mother Nature that Spring starts this week and I would really enjoy no more 30 or 40 degree weather. I would like some 60 degree days here. My body really does need it.

Well I guess I better get moving because I really want to scrap today. I have a couple of ideas for layouts swimming around in my head.

Today I registered

to run in my first 5K. On April 4, 2009 I am going to be participating in the QSAC 5K Race for Autism, this is something I had been thinking of for a while so I am taking a chance and participating and raising money. I figure it is a win win situation, money for a good cause and another tick on my to do on the journey to a healthier me.

I was nervous about doing this but decided to bite the bullet and just do it like the Nike ads say.

the cleaning bug

has bit me. I think it is the warmer temperatures we are having along with the sun shining and it staying lighter later.

Today I cleaned off 2 of my big clutter spots and let me tell you it felt awesome. We are having company tomorrow and I have a couple of things to do besides cooking Gravy and some meatballs. We are having an Italian feast because it is what I can do with very little thought and my family doesn't mind leftovers from that.

I have a couple of creative ideas rolling around in my mind and am hoping I can get them posted. I also need to get serious with what I need to get together for our Easter trip to Disney since I know I am going to run out of time.

Oh and in my cleaning I came across a Christmas present I never mailed feeling really horrible about that.
